Stephen Colbert's SuperPAC OWNED The FEC

Congress recently passed a law to force Political Action Committees to reveal the names, occupations, and addresses of their donors, supposedly under the guise of providing greater campaign transparency.
Stephen Colbert, the comedian and faux-Republican host  of a TV show on Comedy Central, started his own SuperPAC called "Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow."
His SuperPAC, complying with the FEC mandate, recently released their list of donors.
The Donors List included such names as:
Harry Ballsagna
Frumunda Mabalz
Pat Magroin
Sticky Fingers Band
Ibin Yerkinoff

Also, the paperwork turned into the FEC opened with the following  attached letter:
Federal Elections Commission
999 E Street, N.W.
Washington, DC 20463

Re: Supplemental Memo To Disclosure Report
Dear Sirs and Sirettes,
Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow (ABTT) would like it entered into the record that as of January 30th, 2012, the sum of our donations was $1,023,121.24.
Stephen Colbert, President of ABTT, has asked that I quote him as saying, “Yeah! How you like me now, F.E.C.? I’m rolling seven digits deep! I got 99 problems but a non-connected independent-expenditure only committee ain’t one!”
I would like it noted for the record that I advised Mr. Colbert against including that quote.
Sincerely,
Shauna Polk
Treasurer
Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow, Inc.

I may not always agree with Stephen, but this was nicely done.

At least that list of donors is something that makes me happier than knowing who some of them get their money from.

This was a brilliant example of things gone wrong in our political system. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching it unfold. I'm hoping that he'll send that million my way!

I had heard of the PAC but didn't know about the donor names. That is not only a great message, but hilarious too!

Not bad for a Communist Liberal Wierrdywood Democrat. But Reagan was funnier.

Funny stuff. Did you see the video of John Stewart stealing Colbert's SuperPac? It's hysterical!
